Travel, Fund Raising & Social Media

From the bus ride to the booster club to the phone in your pocket, Lions represent the King everywhere they go.

Transportation / Travel

  • Athletes travel to and from away contests on school transportation.
  • An athlete may ride home only with their own parent after the parent signs out with the coach.
  • Overnight trips require a signed permission form and one chaperone per eight athletes.

Rationale

Gilbert, Columbia and Wilmington all publish travel policies; Wilmington also includes a van policy. I chose the parent sign-out rule because it balances family convenience with clear supervision.

Fund Raising

  • All team fundraisers must be approved by the Athletic Director and run through the Lions Booster Club.
  • Funds benefit the whole team; no individual accounts. Door-to-door sales by athletes require adult supervision.

Rationale

Gilbert Christian includes a fundraising section and Temple Christian describes its booster club. I routed all fundraising through the boosters for accountability and transparency, which honors good stewardship.

Additional Area: Social Media

  • Athletes may not post content that is vulgar, demeaning to opponents, or contrary to the school's Christian standards.
  • Violations are handled under Behavior Expectations. Team announcements come only from official Kings Cross Academy accounts.

Rationale

Wilmington and Temple Christian both include social media policies. I added this area because student-athletes' online behavior is now as visible as their on-field behavior, and our philosophy applies in both places.
